Success! I purchased this shoe for my 88 year old mother who wears a 4B and has not bought new sandals for a very long time. She loves them and wears them as often as possible. The shoe gives her gait stability and can be dressed up or down. I do wish that the back strap was also adjustable. She wants me to buy her another pair of Naot.

Like an upmarket huarache - This shoe is like a cross between a Birkenstock and a huarache. Very comfortable, good-looking for this type of sandal (more stylish than clunky), and the nubuck is soft. Thought the top T-strap pressing across my instep would be a problem, but it broke in after one day. The only issue is the sizing and velcro closure of the straps. If you have wide feet across the instep like me, no problem, but if your feet are narrow, the sandals are pretty much not adjustable. Also, you have to be careful to exactly line up the long, thick velcro strips - otherwise a big piece will show, but they fit me wonderful and are so comfy. It's hard to wear anything else. The grey nubuck color is very nice and goes with everything. I don't know what the suede footbed would be like in the rain.

A good fit - I find this style to be a particularly good fit for my foot. I am rarely able to wear any shoe without hose because of rubbing but this one is different. Felt good from the moment I put it on. I also find the velcro shoe closing to be very convenient. As one's foot changes size over the course of walking or the time of day it is easy to make very small adjustments that provide better comfort. I would highly recommend this shoe.

Perfect walking sandal - This is not a sexy or dressy shoe; rather, it is a very comfortable all day walking shoe that has a wonderful athletic look. I have received many comments and compliments on this shoe. I find it is soft and cushy and a wonderful travel shoe.

A little to small - After reading the reviews I thought for sure this shoe was going to fit just fine. I wear a size 11, and the 42 was about a half size too small. Unfortunately 42 is the largest size it comes in, otherwise I would have ordered the very next size up. The shoe was incredibly comfortable!

Cuter in person - These shoes are much cuter & stylish in person. At first I didn't think I would like the velcro closure but I changed my mind as I was able to readjust them for a perfect fit throughout the day if needed. I just got back from working out of town where these sandals literally got the endurance wear test. I bought these shoes for working comfort as I am on my feet all day and wore these for anywhere from 10-14 hrs and my feet did not hurt. No heel pain. The only down side is that the black wears off on your feet (which I'm guessing will stop with time) and the first few wearings the crisscross straps rubbed but just a little. They also stretched out a bit and I hope they don't stretch more. When ordering from Naot I would also go a size smaller. I learned that from another pair that I ordered and thus got it right the first time when I ordered these. Enjoy.

Outstanding comfort - These shoes are superb in comfort and appearance. I have a high arch so finding shoes that are comfortable is difficult. Naot is an excellent brand and I have never been disappointed with their sandals - nor with Zappos outstanding service!

Versatile Comfort on the Go - I bought these sandals in a hurry before going on a 10-day vacation to the southwest. They required no "breaking-in" period, but instead were comfortable from the start, the usual Naot cradle-fit. Plus they're versatile—wonderful with slacks, jeans or skirts. Perfect for the security line at the airport, as you can just velcro on and off. I'd highly recommend these sandals!

Great all around shoes - These are wonderful shoes - they look cuter on my feet than in the picture. I have problem feet: bunions and bad arches. Naot’s are wonderful for both, and these are better looking than most. I'll wear them in summer with skirts, but they will also be good for slack, cropped and capri pants.
