Comfort - In black patent, these look dressy yet are comfortable enough to wear and walk all day. The lower strap is looser than I probably need, but it doesn't seem to matter. They feel good anyway.

Ularia works for me - I am on my feet all day in business casual clothes and these sandals are perfect for my needs and for my problem feet. I have Ularia's in 4 colors (quite an investment, but worth it.) It is wonderful to look good and feel good. I have a wide foot. These accommodate my foot very well with no tender spots. The variegated colors blend well with varying shades of the same color in my wardrobe.

These are the most amazingly comfortable sandals ever. I now have them in two colors and wear them nearly every day. They're so wonderful! They do run a little bit small, but they're so comfy and cute it doesn't even bother me. Amazing!!! Highly recommended.

Heaven - With 'problem feet', I have difficulty with arch support & comfort. Mephisto's Ularia gives me the arch support needed and it's like walking on two clouds. I've ordered 4 Ularia in different colors.

OMG Great sandals! I purchased these sandals back in April of 2006. They went with me to Germany and Italy i.e. LOTS of walking. They were awesome. I wear them almost every day now and am just now considering getting new ones just because I have worn the foot pad down a little. Highly recommend these sandals.

Mephisto rulez! I bought a pair of Ularia in pink floral. At first glance, they didn't impress me much. However, once I put them on, I changed my mind. Mephisto is known for arch support. This one is not so pronounced, but still good enough. I haven't put them through a vigorous walking test yet because it's winter time, but I am sure that they will pass. I forgot if I bought them in 36 or 37, but I am sure they are not 38. I am a very standard size 7 medium. For some reason, Mephistos I can wear 36 or 37 depending on the styles...

3rd summer for this pair, straps loosening, still nice - I own the Ularia taupe reptile. Wear sz 9 w/ moderately high arches; bought a US9/Euro40. Sandals = soft & secure fit, right out of the box. Wear them almost daily in the Portland OR summer, June-Sept each year. I walk everywhere (no car) and travel often. Summer-2007 was their 3rd season. The taupe goes with everything in my summer wardrobe. However now the elastic on the straps is stretching out a bit, so they don't feel as secure. Uppers still look new. But they now need resoling. As always with Mephisto, I appreciate the lasting comfort & good looks. Excellent value for 3 yrs of service.

Comfort and style - I had to overcome my ego and buy a size 12 M and I actually wear a 10 W. I have worn the sandals for 2+ summers and they are still comfortable and stylish. The arch support is good as well. My back doesn't hurt me either when I wear these sandals.

Wonderful comfort - I was about to leave the store, and the salesman told me just to try these on. I wasn't impressed with the look, and thought that for that kind of money they should be prettier. I slipped my foot in the shoe and bought them instantly. They are wonderful.

Pretty, but not good for bad feet - I love Mephisto’s and wear Heidi's every day (wonderful support). Wanted this sandal because it's so pretty. My daughter wears these with no problem at all and she has them in several colors. I bought the black and the Taupe Reptile, gorgeous!! However, I wore them to run errands, and after 30 minutes had to return home to change sandals. I have foot problems including plantar fasciitis and high arches, and these just killed my feet trying to walk in them. :((( They also run a little bit wide so it was difficult keeping them on.

GO ANYWHERE SHOE - My sister bought this shoe and I liked it so I decided to buy the taupe reptile style, which goes with anything. I have a low arch, so this shoe feels very comfortable with its good arch support and the suede lining. The shoe feels a little wide, but perhaps that's because I actually wear a 7 l/2 and the shoe I bought is an 8, but it feels really good and doesn't slip. These are only in whole sizes so I was a little bit afraid they would be too big, but they fit fine. Overall, this is a very comfortable shoe to wear almost anywhere and look well-dressed.

Pink sandals - These are the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. I wear them for long distance walking instead of sneakers. I bought the first pair in a store and then ordered these again since I wear them whenever it is warm enough out. Which when I was pregnant, even in the cold New England air, was during the Winter too! I had been having arch pain previously to buying these shoes and now have none. Mine lasted two years. They are the cutest pink pattern and I get a lot of complements on them. I wear a 6 most of the time but these are a 7.

Comfy, Classy and Cute - I love Mephisto Ularia shoes, and now have about a dozen of them. They are about as high heeled as I get, have a very snazzy looking shape to the heel, and amazing cushioning; it's like walking on pillows. On some, the edges of the upper are stiff when I get them, but just rubbing with my finger softens them up. I have a sort of wide foot, not wide enough for a wide size, and these fit perfectly. The uppers are also sort of cushioned inside. Look wonderful with skirts, capris, pants. I wish they came in orange.

Perfect remedy for people with foot problems! I have about 11 pairs of Mephisto shoes and this one is by far the most comfortable design. It is not as pretty as "Cathy" but if you need something for everyday then this is the one. If you have never tried Mephistos then this is the one! A bit of advice...I put on protective soles on my Mephistos BEFORE using them and they will last forever and ever. So start with the color black and then collect Ularias in every color of the rainbow!

They run small - I bought these sandals even though they are a tad too small. I wear size 12 and always have trouble finding any sandals in my size. I kept them since they do not come in a larger size. European sizing is a little different from American. These sandals are very comfortable but I would not consider walking long distances, the straps seem a little loose. When walking up-hill, my foot will slip out. On flat surface they work fine.

Couldn't get the right size - I started with my usual size 35 and although my upper foot was in the right space my heel hung off the back. I then tried a 36, same problem. I went up to a 37 and even though my heel was now on the shoe bed the rest of my foot was not in alignment with the sole. I am really disappointed as this shoe was very comfortable.

Run full size smaller and feet slide forward! Yes they do look cute; however, they don't cushion the feet as well as the "Fedosia" model, and even though they run small, the straps loosen up too much after use. After wearing them fairly frequently, the straps expanded enough to allow my feet to slide forward and sideways. I paid full price on these and I only wear them to walk the dog!

This shoe is a DREAM if you have wide feet. It is immediately comfortable out of the box and the footbed is amazing. The top strap is comfortably loose. I have the reptile taupe and it matches everything. I wore it to an afternoon wedding and got compliments! I'm a mom and I most of the time wear them with shorts and they look up-to-date and not at all orthopedic. Expensive but worth every penny if you have wide, hard to fit feet.

Pure comfort - The Ularia is pure comfort. Very stylish and durable. Has enough support for a high arch. This is keeper. I most of the time wear a 9 or 40, so the size conversion is important. I had to order a 10.

Worth every penny - Super comfortable straight away--almost zero break-in period. Now have three pairs. They tend to run a little small, so I went up a size just to be safe. I do find that they stretch some though. Very easy to walk in, even over uneven pavement.

Love these sandals! I have an old foot injury that keeps me from wearing most stylish sandals. I wore these sandals to a wedding and even danced in them. They have excellent arch support and they look stylish. I also purchased this shoe in another color.

I found the size perhaps a half size small for the stated size. I am able to wear them, but will take into consideration when I buy this brand again...and I probably will.

Excellent shoes - I own five pairs of Mephisto’s and will no longer buy any other brand of shoe. They fit so well on my high-arch feet and allow me to walk on urban hills & stand in a classroom (I'm a teacher) for hours, comfortably. But shoes with thin straps sometimes cut the top of my foot, even Mephisto. I was delighted to see these wide-strap Ularia’s with the perfect height for me & platform heel, bought them immediately on sight, and have worn them every day this warm Oregon spring! They were PERFECT out of the box! Soft, gripping suede foot liner & I chose the neutral taupe 'reptile' that matches almost everything. Definitely recommended for high-arch folk like me.

Very Comfy Shoe! I have difficult feet to fit and my back rarely can tolerate a higher heel. My feet and back are very happy with these sandals. I rarely get backless sandals for work because I walk "out of them" but for some reason I don't with these. The only thing is that they are a bit too casual for dresses for my taste (looks like I'm wearing slippers) but highly recommend with pants and long skirts. The bed of the shoe did wear "off" quickly so I don't know how they will wear. We'll see in a few months!! I have a medium to wide foot and they fit me perfect - people with narrow feet may have a problem.

Ball of shoe has no support - The sandals are somewhat comfortable, but the sole beneath the ball of the foot was so thin, I felt like I was walking barefoot. Not recommended.

Dressy enough, comfy enough. I needed a dressy shoe for my son's bar mitzvah. This fit the bill nicely. The glossy navy reptile-look leather straps give it a fancy look, but it is much more comfortable than other fancy shoes I tried. This style of Mephisto has a cork insole, but is not as comfortable as styles that have thicker cork soles (e.g. Hannel). Still, it was a good compromise. I have work in to work since.

Wonderful shoe - I wore these in Italy... they were lightweight, a perfect fit, and very comfortable for walking. Not so good in the rain, but then nobody's perfect. And like the other user commented...there is no breaking in period...they are wonderful from the minute you slip them on.

Nice looking comfort - This sandal is comfortable and looks good enough to wear to work. I wore it on vacation (a lot of walking) and was very satisfied. I have a very high arch that can cause a shoe to rub that has a strap high on the top of the foot. No problems with this sandal. Would have liked it to have been a little longer in length. I seem to be between sizes in Mephisto. From past experience a size up would have been too large.

Glad I kept this shoe - Initially I was not going to keep these sandals because the strap near the ankle was too lose and gappy. But I was able to find a good shoe repair person who was able to take 1/8 inch off the strap and they fit perfect (no gaps). Now, I am so glad I kept these shoes. They are so comfortable and attractive. The bone color is wonderful (not white nor beige but just right in between). If you get these sandals and your ankle strap is too large, don't be discouraged. Find a good shoe repair person. Enjoy!

Versatile sandals - I have three pairs of the Ularia model, which is very comfortable. So far I have only worn the red (really deep pink), and almost every time I wear them someone remarks on their good looks. As for the fit, they are perfect for me. I don't have a narrow foot, and European sandals generally fit me better than American ones; someone with a narrow foot might find these a bit wide. The one thing I have noticed about them is that tightness of the straps seems to vary slightly from one pair to another, but I don't think that affects the comfort.

I bought a pair of Ularia Mephisto last May and I have been wearing them day and night, outside and inside the house. My knee discomfort and lower back pain went away. The most comfortable sandal you can buy - This is the only sandal I have ever tried that felt perfect right out of the box. The sole is incredibly soft and it molds to your foot. They look wonderful and can go business casual, and the plus is that you can walk miles in these and your feet feel wonderful. Very expensive but your feet will thank you and it will be hard to wear any other shoe!

Casual style - The red shoe is more of a pink foral than red. The shoe goes well with pants or dress and I have received compliments when wearing. The fit is comfortable and it is easy to walk in.

Ularia works for me - I am on my feet all day in business casual clothes and these sandals are perfect for my needs and for my problem feet. I have Ularia's in 4 colors (quite an investment, but worth it.) It is wonderful to look good and feel good. I have a wide foot. These accommodate my foot very well with no tender spots. The variegated colors blend well with varying shades of the same color in my wardrobe.

Great shoe! I'm a physical therapist and I've told all my patients about this shoe, as they can replace the footbed with their custom fit orthotics. They're super comfortable and really support well. However, the Euro size 12 (42) is more like a size 11 and my feet are just a bit too big for these - so, unfortunately I'll have to send them back.

Excellent for the hard to fit foot - I absolutely love these sandals! I have nerve damage at the base of my toes, at the top of my feet, and a very high arch, so sandals are extremely hard for me to buy. I have to say that these sandals are worth every penny. the perfect sandal - I'm thrilled with the way these sandals fit -- completely true to size and not slipping off my feet. The footbed has molded to my foot as I have worn it so it has become even more comfortable. I've found that with some Mephistos the edges of the straps cut into my feet as I have a high instep but not with these--they've very pliable. Plus I love the cream alligator look-- a wonderful shoe.

Comfortable from the first step - Since my foot is large, I look for sandals that make the foot look shorter. Often difficult to find both style and comfort. This style does just that. My only complaint was the color. It was listed as white, and was a yellow-tan. Am definitely a candidate for a second pair of this style when it is offered in a true white. Even better would be white with white sole.

Love the shoe - I saw the sandals at Nordstrom's. They didn't have my size and couldn't bring a pair in from another store because they were all out and didn't know if they would be getting any new shipments. The sandals came in 3 or 4 days. I am a little disappointed in the fit. The upper strap is a little loose. I bought my first pair of Mephistos 5 years ago and love the comfort and style. They are expensive sandals but worth it when I consider how often I wear them.

The best - By far the best shoe I have ever worn for spring summer. I have rhumatiod arthritis in both feet and I could not believe how much longer I was able to last with them on I put them on right when I get up and immediately felt relief from the hard floor.

Great shoe until it stretches out - This is a wonderful shoe - very comfortable, good fit and looks really good for a semi-orthotic shoe. However, I purchased three pairs last summer and found the same problem with each - the straps stretched out to the point where the shoe rubbed my little toes. Other than that I would buy many more pairs of this shoe.

Very comfortable, only 1 concern - Very comfortable, fit perfectly. After a few hours walking with this shoe, my feet felt fine. One concern: the leather straps might stretch over time. I definitely felt some "give" in the straps, the longer I wore the sandals. But they are so comfortable that I can forgive this minor issue. Also, I don't think that the straps will stretch so much that the fit will be negatively impacted.

Walking on air... This shoe felt like a dream. I've got very hard-to-fit meet and I hate heels, but I had no problems with this shoe, at least while trying it on. Unfortunately, I was looking for something that looked dressier; I wasn't crazy about the look of the straps on this shoe.

Most comfortable ever! I have several different Mephisto shoes all are unbelievably comfortable, this style however, is amazing. The instant you slip your foot into this sandal, you say "where have you been all my life" It is the most luxurious feel ever.

Great shoe for bad feet - I have never had a pair of sandals that are dressy that have really been comfortable, until these. They are very comfortable, very supportive, and fairly dressy. This was a wonderful buy for me.

Wonderful shoes - Wonderful cute shoes, good for walking your way through Manhattan. Perfect arch support, I would buy them again both for looks and comfort. Not overly elegant of course, but they can work very well for a night out--especially if you have delicate knees (like I do) and need something both comfortable and a little more stylish than the usual.

A Wider Mephisto is "Just Right"! Yeah! I finally found a Mephisto that is wide enough. I love the ergonomic footbed and arch support Mephisto incorporates in their shoes. I have several pairs of the Elka sandal but stopped wearing them because they were simply too narrow for my slightly wider foot. Hopefully the their designers will come up with more styles with this wider design.

This shoe is so comfortable and attractive that after wearing the black pair for a couple of days, I bought the same sandals in tan! The sandals look wonderful with anything; I have received dozens of compliments on both pairs.

This is my second pair of this style Mephisto. I previously owned the black and just received the pearlized white. But be careful, you might find yourself putting this shoe on everyday.

A Winner - The Mephisto Mobil line is wider in the toe than the standard Mephisto line. The wider toe, and the elastic gusset on the instep strap, give a near perfect fit. The heel is a comfortable height, with excellent arch support (I have a high arch so this is critical). The height is slightly higher than the "Finn Comfort" wedge, but equally as comfortable to wear. Neither strap is adjustable, which might be a problem for those with very narrow feet. Overall, I am pleased with the Ularia, and expect to purchase another pair in a different color.

Not so comfy - Having already owned 1 pair of Mephisto shoes, I expected these to be every bit as comfortable. The leather straps on these are very thin, scratchy on the edges, and stiff. I couldn't even keep them on for 5 minutes before deciding to return them. The footbed felt fabulous and supportive, but the straps made them extremely uncomfortable for me.

I don't want to take them off! I was hesitant to purchase these sandals due to their cost, but they are worth every penny. I tried them on just "around the house" and found that I did not want to take them off. Fortunately they've gone with everything I've worn since I got them. Summer skirts, capris, jeans, pajamas... I will probably get them in the patent croc next. These are my first pair of Mephistos, but won't be my last.

Perfectly Comfortable Shoe - This is my third pair of the Mephisto Ularia. I bought the first pair and it was comfortable right out of the box, so I bought two more in different colors. I live in Florida which means shoes all year long, so I was looking for comfort and found it.

Worth Every Penny - Are these the cutest shoes in the world? No, but are they out-of-the-box comfortable? Yes! They are plenty cute enough to take you anywhere. They have wonderful arch support, which I did not expect. They also fit if your foot is a little wider than the conventional medium width. Don't be seduced by that trendy pair of less expensive, uncomfortable shoes. Spend your money on these. Your feet will thank you. And, Mephistos last for years.

Great Look and Fit - Love these shoes! Wanted something a little dressier, good with casual clothes too, yet still comfortable. These fit that description perfectly. They are right out of the box happy feet sandals. As usual the delivery time was phenomenally fast.

Well worth the money - These are comfortable, nice-looking shoes which I purchased a couple of months early to "break-in" before leaving on a vacation where I would be walking quite a bit. But I found a break-in period was unnecessary. They were comfortable right away (I have plantar fasciitis. One can also lift the footbed and use inserts. Because of a wide foot, I purchased a half size larger). They're casual enough for capris and jeans and nice enough for skirts and dresses -- perfect! Pricey, but highly recommended.

ULARIA is NOT for Narrow widths!!! Plagued with plantar facia, I have been wearing Mephisto for years, however, a salesman TALKED me into these and I loved the style. Because of my narrow foot, he installed an insert that was to take care of it. They would not stay attached and I would scrunch my toes (right foot) to keep them on, which apparently caused permanent damage to the footbed area. Several trips to both the podiatrist and orthopedic, it's what it is. For narrow widths, unless straps are adjustable, do not recommend! Except for the Helen, which I have in several colors, the styles that worked for me are no longer available.

Heaven - With 'problem feet', I have difficulty with arch support & comfort. Mephisto's Ularia gives me the arch support needed and it's like walking on two clouds. I've ordered 4 Ularia in different colors.

OMG Great sandals! I purchased these sandals back in April of 2006. They went with me to Germany and Italy i.e. LOTS of walking. They were awesome. I wear them almost every day now and am just now considering getting new ones just because I have worn the foot pad down a little. Highly recommend these sandals.

Mephisto rulez! I bought a pair of Ularia in pink floral. At first glance, they didn't impress me much. However, once I put them on, I changed my mind. Mephisto is known for arch support. This one is not so pronounced, but still good enough. I haven't put them through a vigorous walking test yet because it's winter time, but I am sure that they will pass. I forgot if I bought them in 36 or 37, but I am sure they are not 38. I am a very standard size 7 medium. For some reason, Mephistos I can wear 36 or 37 depending on the styles...

Fabulous. The most comfortable shoe ever. I purchased the black reptile patent then got another pair in the pink floral leather. My feet are in heaven. My only regret is I didn't purchase two or three more pairs in the summer when more colors were available.

3rd summer for this pair, straps loosening, still nice - I own the Ularia taupe reptile. Wear sz 9 w/ moderately high arches; bought a US9/Euro40. Sandals = soft & secure fit, right out of the box. Wear them almost daily in the Portland OR summer, June-Sept each year. I walk everywhere (no car) and travel often. Summer-2007 was their 3rd season. The taupe goes with everything in my summer wardrobe. However now the elastic on the straps is stretching out a bit, so they don't feel as secure. Uppers still look new. But they now need resoling. As always with Mephisto, I appreciate the lasting comfort & good looks. Excellent value for 3 yrs of service.

Comfort and style - I had to overcome my ego and buy a size 12 M and I actually wear a 10 W. I have worn the sandals for 2+ summers and they are still comfortable and stylish. The arch support is good as well. My back doesn't hurt me either when I wear these sandals.

Wonderful comfort - I was about to leave the store, and the salesman told me just to try these on. I wasn't impressed with the look, and thought that for that kind of money they should be prettier. I slipped my foot in the shoe and bought them instantly. They are wonderful.

Pretty, but not good for bad feet - I love Mephisto’s and wear Heidi's every day (wonderful support). Wanted this sandal because it's so pretty. My daughter wears these with no problem at all and she has them in several colors. I bought the black and the Taupe Reptile, gorgeous!! However, I wore them to run errands, and after 30 minutes had to return home to change sandals. I have foot problems including plantar fasciitis and high arches, and these just killed my feet trying to walk in them. :((( They also run a little bit wide so it was difficult keeping them on.

Great Sandal - I love these shoes! I have two pairs now and they are the most comfortable sandals I own. The style is a little conservative, but the animal textures give them some "spunk". The quality and style are worth every penny.
