Silver Mephisto Sydel - I have wide feet and this style fits, although not as perfectly as some Mephisto styles. The silver and buckles are very in this season and they are quite striking, casual and dressy at the same time. I will say that had my foot been any wider across the toes, I would have run out of strap to loosen, so a bit more strap for wide feet would have been good. There was no problem with this across the middle of the foot.

Elegant and comfortable! This is my second pair of Mephisto sandals. I have high arches and these sandals provide very good support. The Sydel is a shoe that can be as dressy or as casual as you make it. The leather is a bit stiff at first, so my feet were sore the first 2 times I wore them, but now they are like putting on slippers. I love them. I bought them in the spice pearl patent which is a beautiful, shiny taupe. The color is better than pictured. As soon as I save some more money I'll buy the silver.

Gorgeous! I had to have these sandals! They are gorgeous. True the straps are stiff at first, but I wore them with socks a few days around the house and now they are conformed to my feet and comfortable.

MY FAVORITE SHOE This shoe was introduced to me three years ago. I added different colors each year. I have the sandals in black, white, red, beige, and I just added pink, silver and gold this year. I have problem feet and this has been a wonderful discovery. I highly recommend this shoe for those people like me that cannot deal with anything between my toes. I am glad that I found a shoe that is just as cute as all those with straps between the toes. Thanks!

What a wonderful, comfortable, cute show! I was introduced to this shoe three years ago when I walked into our local Birkenstock store and saw this shoe in "black" and "white". I had to have both.com and really got in trouble. I ordered my favorite color "red"...the "beige" and last week "pink". I told a friend who is working with me this week from Seal Beach, CA about it when she saw that I was wearing my "black" ones. She immediately ordered a pair and I wore my "red" pair in today and she almost had a fit. The "red" is not offered right now...nor the "green" that I also want. I want the "silver" and "gold" also, but have to try to behave. I may order another pair this year, but am waiting to see if you offer the "green" again. I have crazy feet and hate it so much when winter arrives and I have to put my cute sandals away. I cannot tolerate anything between my toes and all the cutsie sandals have the thing you have to have between your toes. I was delighted to perfect this shoe. I now have five pair. Valarie will take this link back to California with her tomorrow and I am sure she will be visiting you again. I know that I will. Just wanted to send you "thanks" from Huntsville, AL. Mephisto Sydel - I saw this in Florence, Italy and they did not carry my size. These shoes are everything I hoped for: comfort, arch support, ability to wear with jeans or dresses for casual or dressy. Had the sandals in a matter of a couple of days and was able to take them with on my next trip where they worked out perfectly. I may have to order more. I went with the gold to allow for casual or dressy and they are perfect! My only issue is they do not have a back strap.

Cutest Sandal EVER!! They have the best customer service with the best selection of sandals. I have ordered literally dozens of pairs of sandals (and returned a few!) from them and I've never had a problem. Sydel is the most comfortable sandal I've ever worn. It has wonderful arch support and is super comfortable. I most of the time wear an 8 1/2 wide and the 39 is a perfect fit with the strap adjusted a bit.! Your a treat for us shoe addicts!

Best sandal ever - This is my 3rd pair of Mephisto Sydel. Coping with plantar fasciitis is a pain, but at least in this shoe I'm able to walk for much longer periods of time without any discomfort. I have 2 pair in the white (the first pair I now use for house slippers) and 1 pair in the black. Would definitely buy again, when needed.

Mephisto Waltz - I had my foot in a cast for 8 months. Needless to say it was extremely difficult finding a shoe that I could tolerate for any length of time. The Sydel, with its foot pad that molds to the foot, was a perfect solution. The straps loosen over time, but new holes can be made easily. The shoe bed will even mold around your toes for that ahhh feeling when you slip into them. My family knows exactly when I put my Sydels on by my sighs. There is a website that actually will repair your old Mephisto from the soles up, so you'll always keep them!

Great shoe! I have the orange and the black also - Mephisto needs to come up with a more consistent sizing. I would only order Mephisto on line if I had tried the shoe on or worn them. I have 3 different styles and 3 different sizes. The ones that fit are so comfortable. I have one pair that stretched so much after I wore them that I can't keep them on anymore.

OUCH! I am a big fan of Mephistos, have Ularia shoes in a dozen colors, and most colors of Gabriela maryjanes. I had high hopes for this one, love all the color options. The footbed feels wonderful, so supportive and comfortable. But the straps on the white patent dig into my foot, no matter how adjusted. I was shocked that a Mephisto could hurt so much. I don't know if other colors that are not patent would feel better. I suspect it is the style, so I will probably just return them. Too bad, they are very cute looking. Back to Mephisto Ularia, and for comfy flats, Birkenstock Orlando.

Doesn't stay on foot - Thought I would really like this shoe. Wore it on vacation in Maine, where I was going to do a lot of walking, only to find out it wouldn't stay on my foot, no matter how hard I tried adjusting the straps. My sister got the same pair and had the same problem. Too bad--very expensive mistake. I now only wear them when I will not do too much walking and just want to look stylish.

Chic Comfort. These shoes are very flattering on the foot. Sleek skinny straps with delicate sparking buckles make them styling. Comfortable Mephisto footbed. Even cuter on than the photo can display. When you want to go up a notch from casual but don't want to give up comfort, this is the sandal for you. I take a US 8.5 and in general a euro 39. Euro 39 in this sandal was perfect.

Chic Comfort. These shoes are very flattering on the foot. Sleek skinny straps with delicate sparking buckles make them styling. Comfortable Mephisto footbed. Even cuter on than the photo can display. When you want to go up a notch from casual but don't want to give up comfort, this is the sandal for you. I take a US 8.5 and in general a euro 39. Euro 39 in this sandal was perfect.

Cute and Comfortable - I bought the Sydel in black patent last year and just love it. I ordered the nubuck dark taupe and the patent spice this year. It's still too cold for shoes so I haven't worn them yet. I'm not to sure about the patent spice, the leather is rather stiff not like my black patent ones, which are much softer.

The best sandal ever – I have problems with my feet, mainly painful bunions. It was always very hard to find a sandal that looked good, I always seemed to find comfort (my first priority). When I found this sandal (while on vacation) I bought it in the white patent. The comfort level was incredible, you couldn’t see the bunions, and they looked wonderful with skirts. I have since bought then in black, gray, red, gold, silver, and brown. They look wonderful with skirts, jeans, whatever and they feel wonderful!

The BEST summer shoe ever! My niece encouraged me to buy the silver Sydel (complete with rhinestone buckles) and I've never had a moment of regret. Great looking but a little snug over my arch - I love wearing these sandals. The width is perfect. My only problem is that the arch strap is a little snug and cuts into my foot a bit. Not a perfect fit, but close enough for short wearing.

Cute but not comfortable - As a fan of the comfort of Mephisto Shoes I am totally disappointed in this shoe. The buckles are attached with a metal fastener which gouged a small hole into the skin on my feet. Now I have to wear band aids under the buckle in order to even wear the sandals. Not a good design for me. Also the finish on the silver ones is worn after only wearing them 2 times. Not the quality you would expect for the price.

A comfortable alternative for a dressy shoe - I wore my black patent Sydel shoes to a wedding and I was comfortable for the entire evening. I have plantar fasciitis in my left foot and I broke my back several years ago, making it impossible for me to wear high heel sandals. This sandal was a wonderful substitute. With the rhinestone buckle they are dressy enough for any event that I attend. These shoes are also wonderful with casual clothes.com. I wore them to a party last night and I received lots of compliments. What a comfortable, versatile sandal!

A Little Pricey, But Worth It - I bought these sandals because I liked the look (I bought them in gold) and also because I had heard they were very comfortable, which is true. Good and pretty shoes for lousy feet. Tried these shoes and found them to be so comfortable and attractive for arched support sandals. Sydel’s are superb! These are not only comfortable but very attractive. They can be worn with jeans or a nice skirt/dress/capri outfit. I ordered the silver ones to wear at the beach because I like to have a good arch support and I am finding I am wearing them all over! If you do order them for beachwear consider getting a pair with the black bottoms like the silver ones (to avoid getting them as soiled from your feet). These shoes have a wonderful arch support and again, are very attractive!

Comfort/style hybrid - Overall a very nice sandal that combines style with comfort. I didn't find it as comfortable as other Mephisto styles--maybe the straps are a bit narrow for true comfort--but I've been playing around with the buckle adjustment and I think they will be okay. I'm a true size 8 and ordered a 9 and the fit was perfect. I'd say they run toward a narrower width.

Love my Sydels - This is my second pair of Sydels. I bought the white patent leather ones last year and enjoyed them so much decided to buy another pair in the gold. I have received many compliments on both pairs and find them extremely comfortable and a bit fun/funky with the rhinestone buckles. Silver Mephisto Sydel - I have wide feet and this style fits, although not as perfectly as some Mephisto styles. The silver and buckles are very in this season and they are quite striking, casual and dressy at the same time. I will say that had my foot been any wider across the toes, I would have run out of strap to loosen, so a bit more strap for wide feet would have been good. There was no problem with this across the middle of the foot.

Susan's Shoe Review - After my husband bought me this beautiful shoe in pink at a local department store, I found that my usual size 10 was not sufficient. The department store did not carry this (or any other) shoe in anything larger than a size 10. Since I really loved this shoe and it was a present from my husband, I looked on the internet. The shoe is beautiful, foot bed is soft and they are dress casual. The shoe still could be slightly larger. I kept the size 11 I ordered that a size 12 would be too large. I have worn them only once so far and love them. The only draw back would be the fit. I do adore the rhinestone accents! I have looked everywhere for a comfortable, beautiful, stylish shoe with glittery rhinestones. As they say in the card game Fish, "I got what I wanted!!"

Comfort AND Style- This is a very cute COMFORT sandal. This shoe was comfortable for long periods of time with no breaking in. As I have a very high arch, the buckles made it possible to adjust for an immediate customized fit. I plan on making this shoe my primary walking shoe thru Europe this spring. I ordered it in three colors. The little rhinestone buckles make it a lot dressier then this type of shoe most of the time looks. I am really pleased with it. Hint: I am most of the time a definite American size 8, but found the European equivalent of an American size 9 to fit me the best.

Great - Mephisto sandals are always incredibly comfortable. They are really supportive and the leather footbed keeps your feet cool and dry in hot weather. I've owned a few pair but this style is a good change because the styling is finer and not so clunky. With the thinner straps and the buckles this shoe is good for when you need to look nice and do some serious walking. The black footbed also means that the sandal doesn't show wear as soon as the other styles.

Great Summer Shoes!!! I saw these originally in a Nordstrom catalog, but there were no more of these in pink in my size. wonderful shoes for less than wonderful feet - I have flat, narrow feet and being on my feet all day takes its toll. Great sandal - I really like these sandals! They're very cute, but also very comfortable, and make it possible to do the fashionable Birkenstock look if you're a little less crunchy; they're also delicate, so good for a smaller frame. My one complaint is that I trip on the toes a little, but I think I'll get used to them.

Cute & Comfy! I found these shoes to be every bit as comfy as my other Mephistos, but nicer looking. I feel like I finally found a dressier, not so chunky shoe to wear with summer clothes.

Mephisto's Sydel - This is one darling sandal. It has the support of a more serious "granny" but with rhinestone buckles and a sweet look. I got the pink one and it is too cute! It is a bit stiff but I adjusted the straps to accommodate bunions and so far so good.

Great shoe - I love this shoe. I've worn the Helen for years, but loved the feminine look of the rhinestones. I didn't know if it would be as comfy, where the straps go straight across, but it is!

Good looking shoe but does not fit true to size - I ordered this shoe for a "dressier" sandal. I liked the look of the shoe but when I put the sandals on they did not fit; I ordered my normal size. I think that you should order up a size.

Gorgeous and comfortable! I had fractured my ankle 6 months ago and can no longer wear cute little strappy shoes w/ heels. Well, these shoes are as cute as the ones I used to wear but are as comfortable and cushiony as the ones too ugly to wear in the past. They are adorable and so incredibly comfy. I have 4 pairs!!!

Very cute alternative to the "comfort sandal" selection - I have really high arches and would dread summer's arrival because I could never wear cute flip flops. Thankfully, Mephisto has come to the rescue. The Sydel is really cute and gives nice arch support. My only complaint is that I sometimes trip over the front, but that might be because I'm not used to wearing them yet. Another one to check out that is even more comfortable, though in my opinion not as cute, is the Helen. In short, I highly recommend the Sydel for those with high arches...and a sense of style!

Mephisto Sydel - It is pricey but worth the cash. I have ordered this sandal in white patent. It is a beautiful and comfortable sandal. I got a lot of stares from people. It is the most comfy sandal I ever own.

Love them! Complete strangers compliment me on these. And as for comfort and arch support, they're unparalleled. Mine are apple green nubuck, so my only complaint is that they became grimy after a couple of weeks.
