Comfort - I always look for shoes at Zappos before I look anywhere else. It is very easy to shop there and the shoes I buy there are the most comfortable I can find.

Light colored insole a problem - The shoe is comfortable and good looking. However, the light color of the insole seems to attract soil regardless of how clean the feet are. Though I've only worn this shoe a couple of times, I fear that the insole will become dingy and dirty looking as it has already started to soil a bit.

Returning this shoe - I love the look of this shoe on my foot BUT it does not stay tight on my foot- the other day I fell down as I took a step up a curb because it dangled from my heel and caught the edge of the cement - at 60 years old I don't like skinned knees! I've tried different buckle settings but it doesn't help- the foot bed is not all that comfortable for a shoe this expensive!

As a longtime fan of Mephisto, I am sorely disappointed by the fit and feel of these beautiful looking thongs. The footbed is narrow so my feet hang over the sides. Also, the footbed is not nearly as well constructed as other Mephisto shoes I've worn throughout the years. Hugely disappointed!

Fits well, looks nice and is kind of dressy. It’s comfortable, slight bit more arch support would always be good for me, but pretty good anyway. I have one of the worst feet to find comfortable shoes and one's that give good support. These do that plus are very attractive on. A big plus.

Very good sandal - I wear 7 1/2 -8 and 8 in this shoe fits me well. I also have medium to narrow feet, so my good fit in this shoe means Mephisto Babata is relatively narrow (perfect for me though). I gave it a 4 star because they are not perfect, and I expect perfection from Mephisto. For, instance the stitch from flower bothers me a little, and I don't understand why Mephisto did not put the stitch above the lining of the shoe (between the upper part and the lining), so it could not bother people's feet. Also, the glue they used bothers me a little on the side, but hopefully it will go away after a few wearings. However, Mephisto makes the best soles in the world, and these shoes have amazing soles (the shape of the arch support follows my feet perfectly), so you won't be disappointed in this respect. They are also cute with the flower. Overall a very good sandal, with a few defects that disappointed me because I expect perfect shoes for this price from this maker (which BTW is my favorite shoe maker).

I own many Mephisto sandals and shoes, and these rate right up there with the best. They are extremely comfortable and offer a tremendous amount of support. Besides that, they are stylish too.

Great Sandal - This shoe has the traditional comfortable Mephisto cork footbed similar to the Helen, but looks a little dressier. I like the bronze color for the summer. If you wear a 1/2 shoe size I would definitely size up on these.

Ouch - I must say, this leather is beautiful, and cork foot beds are usually great. But... even though my arch is pretty high, these were too high, and hurt the inside of the arch.

Goes with everything - While summer traveling, this shoe in the 'gray snakeskin' goes with white pants, navy pants, beige and black skirts as well as shirts and sundresses. How many pairs of shoes do you want to pack?

I love my shoes and will order another pair. Wish you had them in brown or tan also. I stand on my feet for work 10 hours a day, so my shoe is very important!

Great shoe - I needed an attractive shoe that allowed me to walk comfortably on uneven (cobblestone) surfaces all day. This fits the bill. I also love the buckles--they are very delicate and dressy!

Cute and Comfortable - Shoes are very comfortable and they do stay on the foot and do not flap like some backless shoes. They are very cute too.

Caterina - I was disappointed to discover the shoe was nearly a Full Size smaller - I wear 10 1/2 ordered the 41 which is supposed to be 11. Otherwise, I image it’s a great shoe for comfort and has Great style. Only wish it came in my size!! I suggest ordering one size larger.

Good Sandal - I ordered this wedge sandal with some skepticism due to the reviews. Sure enough, the edges of the leather around the toes are rough, but they do soften with wearing. I can't wear it for a whole day, but it's comfortable for several hours & some shopping. I'm glad I have it, but wouldn't buy another in a different color.

Too narrow for me - Ah - I SO wanted these to fit but they were just too narrow for my fairly average width feet. I had to return them (easy to do with Zappos!) and went with the Helen's instead. Naturally I wanted to keep both.

I ordered these because I have Mephistos and love them, and loved the look of these; however there was too much material for my feet. The length and width of the shoe felt right, but it didn't hug my foot the way it would need to in order for me to walk in them.

A great sandal! I love my Mephisto Hannell sandals! The are attractive on the foot and they can be adjusted to fit my narrow feet. The arch support is wonderful and they keep my plantar fasciitis at bay. Wish I could own this sandal in every color offered.
