I was worried about the height, but the sole takes a full inch off the height and makes it a comfy 2 inch heel. I wore them all afternoon when I got them and they were a smidge too tight on one strap, but it will stretch out. Love the look, and I think they'll be rather comfortable. Like someone else said, the bottom is slippery. I walked around on the sidewalk trying to scuff them up. Was disappointed the black bottom turned tan, the finish wore right off. Used a black sharpie pen to doctor it up. If you think they're cute in pictures, you'll be pleased to hear that they are even better looking in person. Arch support is minimal but definitely more comfortable than most pointed toe heels. Dress them up or down. I'm a poor grad student but don't regret buying these. What a gorgeous, well made shoe. A true, lipstick red. I am returning it. And here's why: I have slightly wide feet. I took a chance, but on me, the sides gape open showing the lining, which is beige. The straps are adjustable, but no amount of adjustment could make this look other than awkward on my feet. I was tempted to keep it to wear with trousers alone, but for this price, I thought that would be a waste. Lucky you if your feet are a true medium. They are gorgeous and I wish I could keep them. My quest for the perfect red sandal continues. Yeah, it was a bit expensive, but probably one of the most worthwhile investments of the night.
