Cute but Scary - This shoe is really cute. It fit like a second foot, and didn't feel like a "high" shoe. However, even though the sole is rubber or plastic, it felt very "slippery" to walk in on hard surfaces; the toe kind of whips out from under you. I am returning it because I feel like it is an "ankle-breaker" - the platform really angles in and with the slip factor, I am nervous about wearing them. They are not as dark as the picture shows; but definitely a well-fitting shoe.

La Canadienne Hilaine - I didn't think I would like these sandals. I had wanted something less clunky-looking, and the platform looked heavy. (I detest sandals that feel like leg weights.)However, they ARE Italian, and I was desperate, so I ordered them anyway since Zappos' shipping and return policies are so agreeable. They turned out to be incredibly light and comfortable with the softest leather and wonderful support and balance, so much so that I prefer them to flats or sneakers!

Almost Cute - Very well made, comfortable but the funny looking buckle just takes away from the cute simplicity of the shoe. The wedge is covered in a weird plasticy material, would have been so much nicer if it was covered in leather.

Helaine is Supreme! I found this shoe very comfortable from the first step. I didn't wobble and it's just the right height to avoid that twisted ankle fear. The base is soft enough to absorb some shock so you can walk a bit, but I don't recommend a long march. The leather is supple and didn't rub anywhere. In Florida's heat, that's important. I like it so much I may get the brown ones, too!
