Georgia buyer - I ordered my usual size. When I first placed the shoe on my foot, it seemed a bit small (lengthwise) and not as comfortable as my Josef Seibel oxfords; however, after wearing the sandals twice, they felt perfect.!!!

Very comfortable from day one. Too tight for my orthotics, although the provided inserts are very comfortable. The buckle on one shoe has already frayed stitching on the strap, the one disadvantage so far. Very light, good traction, highly recommended!

I won't buy anything else! I am on my third pair of Geneva and have never worn a shoe that is so comfortable. I have arthritis in my feet and have trouble finding a shoe that doesn't hurt. This is the best one that I have bought. I am a teacher and on my feet all day long and my feet feel as wonderful at the end of the day as in the morning.

Superior quality footwear - I decided to buy a Josef Seibel shoe because my last pair also from this company lasted almost 4 years. True, the sole got a bit worn and the polish was lost. It was so comfortable that I wished I had bought three pairs. I am glad I didn’t because I would never have discovered the Geneva. This is a lightweight shoe, which is really comfortable to walk in and seems to add a spring to my step. I absolutely love it. I give it 4 stars for the look because it is a bit wider in the front than I would have liked. The workmanship is really good. I am wearing a size 8 instead of a 7.5 as was recommended by the manufacturer for this shoe.

The Best Shoes I Have Ever Had - Bought a pair of these sandals last year from Zappos, a wonderful company by the way, primarily to wear to LSU football games, hoping that they would look nice, be comfortable and hold up well. They exceeded my expectations in every way. They looked wonderful, were comfortable enough in which to walk all day, and even after slogging through a rainstorm or two, held their shape. I am demoting last year's pair to wear with blue jeans and have recently ordered a second pair to wear with business-type suits.

Quality just as good? I bought these sandals to replace an identical pair that I had used so often the sole was almost worn through. Great sandals, good for a wide variety of situations, but I wonder if the quality is as good as my previous pair. For example, this time there was a knot in the stitching on the inside that hurt until I used bandage tape to seal it off. Overall, the quality seemed just ever so slightly off the level of my original pair. But, without that comparison, I'd probably think they were just fine.

The best for everyday and travel - I love these sandals so much that I have 4 pairfor back-up. They are easy to take on and off to board airplanes. I travel a wonderful deal and I love these because they are so comfortable. I like that I can also wear my orthotics and a light sock with them as well when I am in S-E Asia. The buttero color (light brown) were accidentally stained with soy sauce. The stain came out easily because the sandals are dyed so well. I wear a size 7 and with these it is a 38 and perfect.

Picky, picky - If I were a princess, I'd probably complain about the pea under my bed...I found these sandals slightly uncomfortable because of the leather upper pushing on the base of my toes where the shoe bends when walking. Otherwise, a nice shoe. I found it truer to size than expected, but I'm still getting used to the European sizes. The return process is exactly as easy as advertised.

Too narrow! I wear a standard size 9 shoe, medium width. I have rarely, if ever, needed to go up a half size. These sandals fit well in length, but they were much too tight in width. I could have tried the very next size up, but they would have been too long. If your feet are medium to wide, these probably won't be a good fit for you. The woman with whom I spoke was friendly and extremely helpful and sent my new sandals out right away!

I like these sandals, they look better on than the picture shown. I had to send back the first pair I ordered because they were too small, so order a size larger than you actually wear. They are comfortable and require no "break in" period.

Soo comfortable...No Blisters - Love Josef Seibel. These shoes are like gloves. Although don't like the white thread detail, but filled them in with a magic marker. I most of the time wear a 40, but with Josef Seibel I order a 41. They are consistent because the 41 always fits.

Great Sandals! I love these shoes! My size is 8 1/2 so, as advised, I ordered a size 9 (Euro 40) and they fit quite well, with good toe room, which I tend to be fussy about. I haven't worn them out yet, as it's still rather cold. However, they feel wonderful and are quite attractive. I appreciate that they are vegetable dyed, have environmentally friendly soles, and are hand sewn as well.

Josef Seibel Geneva - I love, love, love these sandals. I bought my normal size with no problem. I wear them with skirts and pants. Really comfortable - This shoe is wonderful for tired feet. I would like it better if the shoe had been a true size (it seems a bit short) and if there were narrow widths available. Of course, heavier socks make a difference. I will keep at least one pair of these wonderful sandals always.

Disappointment - Hello. I am sorry to say that I am very disappointed in my sandals. I ordered them because another pair of Josef's that I have is so comfortable. The Geneva, however, I am not able to wear at all. The edges of the weaving on top hits directly on a tendon on my big toe, and after 30 minutes I had to take them off. The weaving creates a hard edge that digs into the tender spot.

Complete Satisfaction - I am a registered nursein NICU. I spend most of my shift on my feet. Thes sandals were perfect from the first moment I put them on. Good shoe for wide feet - This attractive shoe fit my wide feet beautifully, even though it's not officially sized as being wide. It's well made and cool to wear with bare feet; however, it rubs a little on the sides of my ankles, and I don't think I would dare wear it for a long walk. Still, it's attractive enough that I've kept it. One slight caveat: the first pair I received gapped in an odd way at the ankle on one shoe, as if it had been mis-stitched.

Great sandals - This shoe is true to size, and very comfortable. No "break in" period. Leather is soft and very comfortable. I live in Arizona, and coolness and aeration are important. My feet do not feel hot in this shoe. I recommend it highly. Also, the comfy footbed keeps my feet from getting sore when on my feet all day at work.

Happy feet - The Josef Seibel's are a good looking, well made pair of sandals, and I believe they are the most comfortable shoe I've ever worn. I most of the time need to wear a shoe sock or ped with this type of shoe to prevent the bottoms of my feet from burning. I have worn these sandals several times without stockings, without any problems. If they weren't so casual looking I would wear them all the time.

Seibel means quality - These shoes are wonderful. I made the common mistake despite the fair warning and ordered these too small first. Overall, all it's a beautiful shoe. However, the size eight hurt the top of my toes when I walked. The sized nine is about a half size too big. I still really like the shoe and wear it to work almost every day. I'm a teacher and on my feet all day long. The sole of this shoe is really comfortable. I also go up and down three flights of stairs all day and the shoe is light. I don't but sandals often but when I do I will be buying from your selection again.

Run small - I wear a 10 most of the time. I ordered the 41 (10-10.5) which I most of the time order in Joseph Seibel sandals. These are too small. They fit like a 9.5. Otherwise, they're cute.

Not worth the money - I have another pair of Joseph Seibel sandals that from the first day I wore them, they were extremely comfortable. These shoes are HARD! The leather is very stiff with lots of little protrusions inside where the stitching comes together. I had to file some of them down with an emery board. I wanted a closed toe sandal, and at this time of the year in my part of the country, they are impossible to find, so I was happy to find the style I wanted. They are not the Seibel quality I expected. As commented by others, I ordered the larger size and they fit well.

Comfortable shoe - I enjoyed these from the start. No break in period they are soft and comfortable right out of the box. They are a bit smaller than the actual size. They look wonderful with capris.

They seemed a little long for the size, they are relatively comfortable, but not for extended time walking.

OMG! I love these sandals~! I JUST got my sandals today, and I absolutely love it! To help the consumers get a better description than "they are wonderful"... It would be good to know that they DO fit kind of snug. They recommend a size larger, but I am a 7 1/2 with sports sandals and depending on the dress shoe brand I can fit a 7. This shoe was sold out in an 8, so I tried the 7-7.5 and it fit just fine. I thought the sandal would be a little tough and hard to walk in but it wasn't! Its soft and has good cushion for long walks. I'm thinking of getting some additional arch support though. Maybe the company will improve on that next. Hope this helps! I am definitely going to try out another Seibel sandal!

A true classic fisherman sandal. This is my 2nd pair of Josef Seibel Genevas. I LOVE the look, the comfort, (once they are broken in) and the carefree style, which I wear year round. I walked all over England with them and they were so comfortable. I suggest that you break them in before any long excursions. They are a bit tight in the beginning but being the wonderful leather that they are, they will surely wrap themselves nicely around your feet. I hope they NEVER go out of style. A true classic.

My second pair - I found these online and bought a second pair as they were still available. I bought my first pair 3+ years ago and have worn them everyday since – first for walking sandals, then as house slippers. The soles/arch supports are quite soft and did wear significantly, so I put supports in the old pair a year ago. The leather and stitching on the old pair are in perfect condition after 3 years.

Enjoying Josef Seibel Geneva Shoes - Shoes arrived on a very timely basis. As always, these sandals are well crafted with soft pliant leather. I wear orthotics and they fit beautifully. Working in a hospital requires sandals that do not slip or slide on the floors. Again, these are perfect! Great for walking, going out for dinner. Wonderful all around look. I highly recommend them for older women as well as young women. Beautiful shoe. I will definitely buy them again.

Joseph Seibel "Geneva"- women's - The service couldn't be better, almost instant delivery. I already know this shoe Seibel "Geneva" but would like it to have a slightly thicker, softer sole and a bit of arch support. Design is perfect for me otherwise. I like the wider, non-toe-cramped style with very low heel, although toe box is slightly low. Well made.

Just beautiful! This shoe is well constructed and very nice looking. It is more fitted to the foot, unlike my other Josef Seibel sandals, and required some breaking in, although once worn a few times, they feel like old friends. The shoe is not as roomy in the toe box as you might expect, and the sizing clearly runs small, so don't assume that they will fit like others of this same brand. This is a sharp looking shoe that can easily be dressed up or dressed down.

These are wonderful sandals! I bought these mainly for travel but now I think they will become my new everyday shoes. On a trip to Savannah and Charleston for a week, I wore them everyday to walk the 2 cities. I never broke them in before the trip and they were extremely comfortable from the first day I wore them. I did take the precaution to line the back with mole foam in case they chafed my heel. I really love the look and the feel. I would definitely buy another pair.

I love this shoe. I wear an 11 and had to return the first pair for a larger size. There is no arch support, but my full sole orthotic fits easily in this shoe. I was also pleasantly surprised that it fit my narrow foot with the strap on the tightest hole.

Most comfortable shoe I've ever worn - Before buying my first pair of Josef Seibel sandals, I had already been fitted by foot doctor and bought insole at the cost of $400. I never could wear them. I hurt a lot worse. I bought my first Josef Seibel's Fisherman’s sandals from Zappos. I have since, bought 2 more pair and I will continue to buy these sandals from them as long as they sell them. I am 77 years old. I can try to go back to my other sandals and my feet start hurting. I wear these sandals with or without socks or hose. People ask me where I bought these sandals. I am a walking advertisement for your company.

Very comfortable from day one. Too tight for my orthotics, although the provided inserts are very comfortable. The buckle on one shoe has already frayed stitching on the strap, the one disadvantage so far. Very light, good traction, highly recommended!

I won't buy anything else! I am on my third pair of Geneva and have never worn a shoe that is so comfortable. I have arthritis in my feet and have trouble finding a shoe that doesn't hurt. This is the best one that I have bought. I am a teacher and on my feet all day long and my feet feel as wonderful at the end of the day as in the morning.

Superior quality footwear - I decided to buy a Josef Seibel shoe because my last pair also from this company lasted almost 4 years. True, the sole got a bit worn and the polish was lost. It was so comfortable that I wished I had bought three pairs. I am glad I didn’t because I would never have discovered the Geneva. This is a lightweight shoe, which is really comfortable to walk in and seems to add a spring to my step. I absolutely love it. I give it 4 stars for the look because it is a bit wider in the front than I would have liked. The workmanship is really good. I am wearing a size 8 instead of a 7.5 as was recommended by the manufacturer for this shoe.
