Gorgeous sandal, but not for very high arches and insteps! These beautiful, comfortable, and elegant shoes have one design aspect that buyers should take into account: the T-strap is made to fit normal feet. If you (like me) have very high arches and a muscular instep (blame Pilates), the T-strap gaps because of the height of the arch. Otherwise, it's perfect.

Beautiful shoe but not that comfortable - I have a Van Eli that looks similar to this shoe and I like it much better! I love the look of this shoe but the ankle strap hit my foot in the wrong place and was painful.

Almost perfect -- *IF** your feet will stay in the sandals! I was dying to get these sandals for over a year, and a finally ordered them in the platino. Absolutely gorgeous and generally quite comfortable. However, I found that with only the ankle strap and the little strap across the toes holding my foot in the shoe, walking was going to be a problem. I could immediately tell my foot would be falling out of the shoe constantly. Sounded like an ankle-breaking hazard! Even one more strap slightly up from the single strap would have done the trick. So, after all that dreaming of this shoe, they're headed back to Zappos. I'm glad that part was easy!

Perfect summer sandal - Just got these sandals in the mail and I love em already. Comfy and sexy, impossible right...not with the Viana. They are comfy, sexy and will go perfectly with skirts and capris for summer. Can't wait to test them out.

Great wedding shoe! I’m so excited! I bought these for my wedding to go with my dark ivory dress, and the color is perfect. They are comfy, very cute, and I will probably wear them again. I actually opt for higher heels, but since it's "the big day" I thought I’d be more practical. This shoe does a wonderful job of meeting my needs: something practical, but cute. Who wants ugly sandals under their beautiful wedding dress?

Happy! What a girly shoe! I bought the platino antique metallic (dull gold with bronze footbed). They fit like a pair of socks and are just as comfortable. They make me feel like a doll when I wear them. I feel my money was well spent.

Super cute shoe - For us large footed ladies, it's hard to find a shoe that makes your foot look sexy but I have to say that this is one of those times. I have the bronze version of this shoe and it's easy to dress up or down. Great with jeans and skirts on the short side. The footbed is totally comfortable. The only problem I have with this shoe is the front part of the footbed is a little narrower than I would like but it's not uncomfortable. This is the only reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars.

My fourth pair... Strange but true. I find this shoe to work for me onstage whether sitting, standing for a spell or moving about. I found it two years ago in white, onsale!!! Bought two pair, dyed one silver. Just purchased gold and am going for the black. They fit beautifully, easy to walk in, very chic and absolutely sexy. Love them all. Kept one pair white for summertime!

Very cute, sexy shoe. I needed a gold, kitten heel shoe to wear with an early 1960's vintage evening gown, and the Viana in is perfect. It's very modern looking, very dressy, and yet works with jeans, too. It also works well with my vintage pieces because of the kitten heel. I like the low heel, and the thong doesn't bother me as much as I thought it might, but I do find myself wobbling on the heel. I think it's because the back strap only attaches right at the back of the heel, and I'm not used to that. Still, for a dress shoe, they fit perfect right out of the box, and they don't feel like they'll give me any problems when I wear them.

Buy This Shoe! Love this shoe! I recently bought these for a vacation trip with my husband. There was a lot of walking to get to restaurants in the evening. I wore the shoe every night and felt wonderful. Even brand new, the shoe did not hurt! If you're unsure. go for it! One thing though...I most of the time wear a 7.5 in Donald Pliner. I found that the 7 worked better for.

Donald J Pilner is Fabulous!! Very cute and sexy! They are a little uncomfortable between the toes, but after wearing them a couple more times, the leather is much softer. I have them in Bronze Antique Metallic and Sand Shine Nappa. Planning to also get them in Black Antique, Sand Cargo Haircalf and Kiwi Antique Metallic!

Too Cute - This shoe is the bomb!! I have them in black and now bronze. Always receive loads of compliments. They are a little uncomfortable when trying on, however, in a short while, they are fine. I had to return the first pair for a half size larger as the run a little short.

As I'm a Donald Pliner fan, this did not disappoint me. His line is especially good for those of us who don't have narrow little feet. The quality of the leather allows for slight conformity to the foot without getting too loose. Great shoe!

These are my favorite shoes. I bought these last year in the antique light gold color and they are ALWAYS the sandals I pick to wear in summer for comfort and style. Great shoe - This is an absolutely beautiful shoe on the foot--I have the pewter distress and want the black distress too! They are definitely smaller than marked, so buy a half-size up from your normal size unless your foot is narrow. I wore them for the first time on a day I was doing quite a bit of walking and developed horrible blisters on the sides of my big toe. Break them in a little before a big day in them.

Took some breaking in but worth the wait - I am always searching for low-heeled, elegant looking sandals (husband shorter than me) and was delighted to find this very cute sandal. At first try-on the strap across the foot was too tight and I was worried they would have to go back, but subsequent wearings have broken them in and now they are as comfortable as the legendary Donald Pliner sandals should be! I am trying to talk myself out of buying a second color, but having a hard time...one can always use another pair of black sandals...

Oh so sexy! I bought the black nappa leather Viana’s - and boy am I glad I did. I have been stopped by many people- men and women alike who have all said what a stunning, sexy, stylish shoe it is. It is extremely comfortable, once I got used to having the leather between my big and first toe! Now I feel as though I am wearing slippers - these sandals at THAT comfortable. Love them! I wear them for work and for fun, with a skirt and with pants - wow!
