This attractive sandal fits almost like it was made for me--except that one of the knots on top digs into my instep. I'm choosing to believe that part will soften or stretch. Otherwise: the leather footbed is soft, the support is good for a sandal--it feels like it may stay on the foot for actual walking--and it may even look acceptable with a dress! Here's hoping. They look fabulous with dresses, skirts, shorts, and stretchies with a tunic. I didn't know what the Brighton insignia looked like, so I was relieved to find that it didn't include "Brighton". It's an adorable squiggly design like you find on all their silver pieces. Have to admit the heel is hard; there's no cushioning at all, but they make my legs look so good that it cancels out the slight discomfort. One difficulty I had is the 2 buckles rubbing against my foot to the point the areas would blister & bleed. The only way I can wear these is with Band-Aids and heavy socks. I tried these sandals because I needed shoes to match a brown linen outfit. The bronze color matched very well and it is an attractive shoe. However, the "strap" over the arch is not stretchy at all, and I have a high arch, so they did not fit, and I tried a half size larger than what I usually wear.
