Great relaxing shoe! The shoe is all as advertised. The break-in period is as with all Birkenstock cork base sandals-it takes about a week. I purchased Birkenstock because my last pair lasted 91/2 yrs. These may outdo that.

Nice but squeaky - These look wonderful (for a Birk). They feel slightly less comfy than the plain old original Arizona, but comfy nevertheless (maybe it's the black leather top cover...not sure). I wear them daily. My last pair of Arizona’s lasted for MANY years before I resoled them, after which they continued to last and last until the wife made me hold a candle light vigil and cremation ceremony. I finally got around to getting another pair (the Exquisite) and my feet are thanking me. My only real complaint is that the buckles squeak when I walk. And if I go sockless, the leather makes a sticking/squeaking sound in addition to that of the buckles. Only had 'em about a month... maybe they will "break in" and become quiet. Suffice it to say that I will not be sneaking up on anyone while wearing these. But, alas, I'm glad I bit the bullet and shelled out the extra cabbage for the EXQUISITE BLACK Arizona!

Exquisites are back! I miss the more delicate women's two-strap Exquisite, but I am thrilled this one is back, at least! The leather-wrapped footbed makes the sandals last so much longer. I got married in Birks 17 years ago, and have never been without several pairs! Birks are the only shoes I can wear (except I have one pair of cork-soled Mephistos), since I require orthotics/ arch supports, otherwise. A podiatrist originally got me interested, since I was complaining about hot feet in the summertime. I can hike in Birks for hours and still be comfy, and have done so, many times over. The footbed actually molds easily, for me, to the shape I need just by wearing the sandals.

Sounds weird, but... They squeak a lot. Comfort and wonderful looking, but NOISY!

Birk AZ Exquisite - WOW! What a wonderful Birk! It is classic in AZ styling, yet new looking by covering the cork sole with leather. This sandal is smooth and comfy on a tender foot bottom, yet all the durability you have come to expect in a Birk.

Classy - A really wonderful looking Birkenstock. The smooth leather footbed is a real joy under your feet. My only concern is that this sandal seems slightly narrower than other Birkenstocks.

Greatest. Birk. Ever. If you're like me, and have always been a Birkenstock fan (I also rock a pair of London’s from time to time), but also realize it isn't a brand you can even think about dressing up, I present the Exquisite line. The Arizona Exquisite It's a marvelous-looking sandal from top to bottom. In my opinion you can wear these with a linen suit to a wedding (just not in January in Chicago) and make a very tasteful statement. The first time I wore it out I received at least 2 compliments and my buddy Jeff couldn't believe they were Birkenstocks. Bottom line, a perfect, versatile sandal for the fashion-conscious Birkenstock lover.

Hear me coming - Nice fit but shoe makes squeaking noise when walking apparently from the synthetic sole where it meets the leather straps. Perhaps it will go away when broken in. Otherwise a wonderful shoe.

I would have never dreamed that you could say Birkenstock and good looking in the same sentence. It is the same wonderful fit and arch support with the simple 2 strap design. They are a must for anyone who likes Birks!!!

Best Ever Birkenstocks - This is the best-looking Birkenstock sandal ever made. I wish all were made this way so the cork didn't show on the sides. The look is much dressier. And, since it's a classic footbed, it's comfortable. Perfect support. Perfect look. Before these were available here in the USA, I ordered two pairs from Germany two years ago -- one pair to wear, one to have for the future in case they were discontinued. I have three dozen pairs of Birkenstocks, including shoes, boots, and closed sandals. My Arizona Exquisites and Calgary boots are my two favorites, hands down. I can't recommend these enough.
