Customer Reviews2008-05-02 18:53:21 Aquatalia by Marvin K. Jesse Reviewer:from Toronto, ON, Canada Overall: Shoe Size: Felt true to size Shoe Width: Felt narrower than marked Shoe Arch: Excellent arch support Cute 1940's vintage looking shoes - Firstly, I have to say that the colour description is completely off. When I received my order I was (pleasantly) shocked to see bronze metallic shoes! I specifically ordered these as it said "sand nappa" and even online the shoes appeared "sand" in colour. Fortunately for me, this pair of shoes is nearly the exact match to a bronze tote I own. Moreover, the heel height is actually 3.5 inches, but no matter as the footbed is well padded and doesn't feel like a high heel. I also feel that these shoes are true to size. However, the width seems narrow, but that's fine for me as my foot is on the narrow side and quite a few "medium" width are too big for me. The only negative comment I have, which is not the fault of the designer but the shoe style itself, is that because it is a peep toe, the strap is behind the heel and it's a high heel. The foot slides forward and the big toe sticks out. I inserted a gel half insole and that somewhat stops the foot from sliding forward. Overall, I was able to wear these shoes for 4 hours straight with no problem, but eventually changed as the friction of my foot sliding forward caused some discomfort in the toe area. I'd definitely recommend these shoes for any woman who wants a 40's vintage looking shoe! Other shoes recommended by reviewer: Aquatalia, Ferragamo, Stuart Weitzman | |||||||||||||
