When I received it, I wasn't disappointed by the appearance. The shoe is beautiful, and the leather is wonderfully soft. When I first put it on, it was very comfortable. But once I walked around for a few minutes, I noticed the footbed was so slick, my foot kept sliding toward the toe. I wore them several times around the house and tried to convince myself I could somehow modify them to keep from sliding. But I decided shoes this expensive should be good right from the box, and I very reluctantly returned them. Also, they are a little small. I ordered a half size larger based on reviews of other styles of this brand, and it was a good fit. Even on the tightest hole, the weight of them made them clomp against the soles of my feet and sway from side to side. If I had new holes punched, the clasp would come too far forward and look strange. Also, the silver finish on the heel looks extremely fragile--one nick or bump from normal wear and tear would mar it forever. It just wasn't worth risking. Sad--they looked so Prada-ish to me. These are stunning! My only regret is that I ordered a 10 in the blue and they are a little too big, but I love them too much to not have them in my life. I walked around NYC in 80 degree weather for hours and no complaints. The only problem was that I only wore them this one time and the inside jewel was gone!! I love their uniqueness. The bronze color is very subtle, and the style and color allows the shoe to be versatile. I just wish they were wider. I have little bunions on my feet, but I have never had to buy a wide shoe because of them. I try them on every night trying to decide if I want to live with the narrowness and be uncomfortable. Maybe they will stretch if I do keep them and wear them? I've tried them on at some of the high-end department stores, and they are the same fit. They apparently do not come in a wide. This is a hard decision. They are so beautiful. These are indeed show stoppers. Comfortable AND attractive! I have these shoes in yellow, which I don't see here. I wore them for the first time today and they are super comfortable. I've also gotten loads of compliments on them. The lucite heels are unique and very pretty. Note of caution: I bought a half size bigger thinking they were snug and the patent leather did stretch, so definitely get your normal size. I always receive compliments when I wear them, which is about once a week to work all day. They're very easy to walk in, as your foot is almost flat. All in all, the shoes are comfortable. The only problem is that the toe hole is small and my toes are squashed together. I stretched the top and it helped. They are comfortable with no pain as the previous reviewer had. It just takes adjusting the straps around the ankles. It is one of my favorite sandals now- don't hesitate to buy it - it has a classy look for casual or dress up. Well done and constructed solid. Money well spent as far I am concerned. Very comfortable and modern. Having a high arch and narrow heeled foot, the back strap slips a bit when walking. But they feel so good, I had to keep them. The orange is an awesome color.
